Newark, NJ: The Ramapo College men's volleyball team wrapped up the 2024 season today in the ECAC Tournament as they fell to #1 New Jersey City University (22-10). The Gothic Knights earned a 3-0 (25-15, 25-22, 25-11) win over the #4 seeded Roadrunners (19-12).
Reece Kirchofer led the Roadrunners with 12 kills while adding one block and three digs.
Brendan Edwards posted five kills and three aces while
Amari Menter posted five kills and two digs.
JoJo Meyer recorded a team high 24 assists while adding four digs and one ace.
Jon Zawada led the team on defense with six digs. Ramapo posted 25 kills as a team on 83 attempts with 21 errors.
NJCU advances to the ECAC Championship match at 7pm this evening. The Gothic Knights were led by Mahmoud Serour who hit .500 overall with 10 kills on 18 attempts with just one error while he added two blocks and two digs. Jame Bajor posted seven kills, two aces, a solo block and seven digs. Nico Figueroa led the team with nine digs while Alex Casais posted a team high 25 assists. The team hit .417 in the match with 32 kills on 60 attempts with just seven errors.
