New York, NY: The Ramapo College men's volleyball team fell to Buffalo State and host #12 New York University in a non-conference tri-match today. The Roadrunners move to 15-8 overall.
Match #1
Buffalo State (14-14) hit .424 in the match with 34 kills on 66 attempts and just six errors. Ramapo hit .228 with 37 kills on 92 attempts and 16 errors. The Bengals were led by Malachi Jackson with 12 kills while Gavin Wilczewski collected ten. Jackson Stang dished out a team high 29 assists while Wilczewski and Alex Nuez tallied eight and seven digs respectively. For the Roadrunners,
Reece Kirchofer posted 15 kills, two aces, two blocks and six digs.
Nick Lisi added eight kills while
Jake Fritz posted five.
JoJo Meyer recorded a team high 28 assists and
Jon Zawada tallied six digs.
Match #2
The #12 Violets hit .394 in the match with 41 kills on 71 attempts and 13 errors. Ramapo recorded 28 kills on 62 attempts with 14 errors. Lucas Osiecki led the way with ten kills while Matthew Warter collected nine kills and two aces. Sachin Dasari led the team with 36 assists and Zach Knudsen posted six digs. For Ramapo,
Amari Menter posted 11 kills while
Nick Lisi added seven. Menter also posted two blocks and two digs while Lisi added one ace. Meyer collected 21 more assists in the second match of the day while Kirchofer tallied five kills, one block and six digs.
The Roadrunners return to action on Tuesday, April 2nd when they host Yeshiva University for a Skyline Conference match at 7:00 PM.
