DAY TWO IN THE BOOKS AT NJAC CHAMPIONSHIPS

College Park, MD:  The Ramapo College women's swim team has earned 105 points in the first two days of the inaugural New Jersey Athletic Conference Championships. The meet is being held at the University of Maryland.

Ramapo has tallied 105 points and currently sits in 10th place heading into day three of the Championships on Saturday. Due to the weather forecast, the start time on Saturday have been moved to 10:30 AM for the morning session and 6:00 PM for the evening session.
 
In the 200 medley relay, the Roadrunners finished 9th overall with a combined time of 1:53.38. The team was made up of Alazne Sudupe, Camila Mercado, Meghan Cortez-Fields and Cami Yovich. In the 500 free prelims, Grace Korey posted a time of 5:29.34 and Sudupe clocked in at 5:31.19 while Yovich was right behind in 5:32.13. Fifi Amanuel posted a time of 5:53.89 to round out the Roadrunners in the event. In the 200 IM prelims, Cortez-Fields finished 7th overall (2:10.76) to advance to the finals and clocked in at 2:08.20 (fifth place), setting a new program record. Six Roadrunners swam in the 50 free prelims as Valeria Pages finished first of the six team members in 26.31 seconds. Camila Mercado finished with a time of 26.43 seconds while Magdalen Swat touched the wall in 28.55 seconds. Keila Fane finished in 29.00 seconds and Julia Caramagna posted a time of 29.95 seconds while Rachel Vasquez clocked in at 30.63 seconds. In the final event of the night, the 400 medley relay team placed 9th overall with a combined time of 4:09.85. The team was made up of Sudupe, Mercado, Cortez-Fields and Yovich.
 
For Ramapo, Saturday prelims start the morning session with the 200 free relay, 400 IM, 100 fly, 200 free, 100 breaststroke and 100 backstroke. The evening session will include 200 free relay finals, 400 IM finals, 100 fly finals, 200 free finals, 100 breaststroke finals, and 100 backstroke finals.
