Mahwah, NJ: The New Jersey Athletic Conference announced the 2024-2025 NJAC Men's Basketball Preseason Poll today seeing the Roadrunners ranked 3rd overall with one first-place vote. The poll is voted on by the 10 league head coaches.
The Roadrunners open the season this Friday, November 8th at 7:30pm at home against Lancaster Bible College in non-conference action. The Chargers finished last season with 16 wins while they advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament during the 2022-2023 season. Ramapo will then be on the road for their next five games before returning home for a NJAC match-up with Kean University on December 4th. Last season the Roadrunners finished with a 17-9 overall record and a 11-7 record in the NJAC while they qualified for the NJAC Tournament.
The Roadrunners have their sights set on another NJAC Championship under head coach
Chuck McBreen as they return all five starters in seniors
Peter Gorman,
Justin Bladen,
Jordan Myers,
Shane Rooney and
Anthony Corbo. McBreen will also look to returning junior
Elijah Barlow and newcomers sophomore transfer Brandon Moore, junior transfer
Tim Linton, freshman Landon Miller and freshman
Logan Smith. Gorman led the team with 461 points, 105 assists and 42 steals while he was named All-Met First Team, NJAC First Team All-Conference and NABC All-District. Meyers led the team with 209 rebounds and 409 points while Rooney was second with 198 rebounds and 338 points. Bladen was second on the team with 36 steals and 57 assists while he contributed with 222 points. Corbo posted 242 points and 165 points while Barlow added 151 points including 17 made three-pointers along with 22 assists and ten steals.
