Mahwah, NJ: The Rowan University women's volleyball team used a 3-0 (25-15, 25-13, 25-23) NJAC road victory to even both their overall and NJAC records at 7-7 overall and 1-1 in the conference. The Roadrunners move to 2-8 overall and 1-2 in the NJAC.
Rowan hit .221 as a team in the match with 35 total kills on 95 attempts with 14 errors. Jena Kaul led the way with 11 kills, six aces and six digs in the match for the Profs. Ciara Bradley posted six kills and a team high two blocks while Ava Best posted four kills. Brooke Adams and Vanessa Hutchinson recorded five aces and three aces respectively. Adams led the way with 28 assists while Hutchinson poste a team high 12 digs on defense.
For the Roadrunners,
Emily Shea collected a team high seven kills along with two blocks while
Amanda Fatouh posted six kills and
Riley Stewart added four.
Katie Bishop led the way with 18 assists and two aces while
Kayla Price contributed with two aces, two assists and eight digs. On defense, Fatouh posted a team high 11 digs while
Emma Garcia added six in the match. The team recorded 22 kills on 85 attempts with 18 errors.
Ramapo returns to action on Saturday on the road at John Jay College for a tri-match with Western New England University. The Roadrunners take on the host Bloodhounds at 11am and WNE at 1pm.
