Mahwah, NJ: The William Paterson University women's volleyball team earned a three-set victory over Ramapo College tonight in NJAC action, 3-0 (25-4, 25-15, 25-8). The Pioneers improve to 16-9 overall and 6-1 in the conference while the Roadrunners move to 3-16 overall and 1-6 in the NJAC.
WPU hit .341 in the match with 35 kills on 82 attempts with just seven errors. Kristian Glenn posted ten kills for the Pioneers while Cecilia Miller recorded nine and Hope Arce-Reed put down eight. Miller also contributed with a team high four aces along with eight digs. Laura Gruener tallied five blocks while Abby Houpt dished out 30 assists. Paola Molina contributed with 14 digs on defense.
For the Roadrunners,
Riley Stewart posted six kills, two blocks and four digs.
Amanda Fatouh tallied five kills and two aces while
Katie Bishop recorded ten assists.
Emma Garcia led the way with ten digs while Bishop contributed with four. The team posted 15 total kills on 82 attempts with 23 errors.
Ramapo returns to action on November 5th when they host Stockton University in NJAC action at 7pm.
