Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's volleyball team defeated Farmingdale State college this afternoon, 3-0 (25-23, 17-25, 25-23, 25-18). The Roadrunners move to 3-15 overall while the Rams now stand at 11-7 on the year.
Riley Stewart and
Amanda Fatouh each recorded a career high in total kills in the game for the Roadrunners. Stewart posted 23 kills and two aces while Fatouh collected 18 kills and a team high 24 digs.
Alyssa Edmond posted three aces and 15 digs while
Katie Bishop tallied two aces and a career high 39 assists. The team hit .200 in the match with 50 total kills on 160 attempts with just 18 errors. Ramapo saw themselves down 13-3 in the third set before shrinking the lead to 20-13. From there the team rattled off 11 straight points to take a 24-20 lead and match point. The Rams posted the next three points before Stewart put down a kill for the 25-23 set three win.
Lauren Offermann posted ten kills while Stephanie Nemecek added nine for Farmingdale State. Sarah Rende posted 31 assists while Lana Ventura led the team with 20 digs. The team recorded 42 kills in the match on 160 attempts with 29 errors.
The Roadrunners return to action on Tuesday, October 29th when they host William Paterson University in NJAC action at 7pm.
