Union, NJ: The Kean University women's volleyball team defeated Ramapo College 3-0 (25-17, 25-13, 25-12) tonight in NJAC action. The Cougars improve to 14-10 overall and 4-2 in the conference while the Roadrunners now stand at 2-15 overall and 1-5 in the NJAC.
The Cougars hit .382 in the match with 42 kills on 89 attempts with just eight errors. Taylor Micheaux led both teams with 16 kills while adding one block and five digs. Aubre Adams led the team with three blocks while Elena Cayley Morrison posted two. Aspen O'Brien recorded 20 assists while both Danielle Suter and Kalea Miller dished out eight each. Olivia Capra posted 11 digs on defense to lead the team.
For the Roadrunners,
Amanda Fatouh and
Riley Stewart both tallied nine kills each in the match while Fatouh added one block and eight digs. Stewart also contributed with one block and four digs while
Katie Bishop dished out 17 assists.
Emma Garcia collected a match-high 14 digs on defense for Ramapo. The team posted 24 kills on 85 attempts with 18 errors.
Ramapo returns to action on Saturday, October 26th when they host Farmingdale State College in non-conference action at 12pm.
