Pomona, NJ: The Stockton University field hockey team earned their first NJAC win of the season with a 5-1 victory over Ramapo College. The Ospreys move to 8-6 overall and 1-1 in the NJAC while the Roadrunners now stand at 3-11 overall and 0-3 in the NJAC.
Stockton scored two goals in the first and second quarters before they added one in the third. Kristen Bailey put the team on the board with a first quarter goal before EB Rafferty scored her first goal of the season, 2-0. Bailey scored her 9th goal of the season in the second before Carlee Thompson posted her 5th of the season to push the score, 4-0. In the third, Makayla Alessi took a pass from Bailey in the 43rd minute as Alessi scored her third goal of the season, 5-0. For the Roadrunners,
Morgan Trotter scored her first of the season in the 51st minute to put the team on the board.
The Ospreys held a 13-6 advantage in shots on goal in the game while they recorded 17 penalty corners.
Erika Roura held Ramapo to just one goal with five saves including four in the final quarter of action.
Michelle Kukan posted eight saves for the Roadrunners while Julianna Mikulski posted one defensive save for the team.
Ramapo returns to action on Tuesday, October 22nd when they host Kean University in NJAC action at the Athletic Center Turf Field at 4:00 PM.
