Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's soccer team shutout SUNY Cobleskill in non-conference action this afternoon, 4-0. The Roadrunners move to 3-9-1 overall while the Fighting Tigers move to 0-6 overall.
Amanda Barr put the Roadrunners on the board early in the first half in the 2nd minute of action. Barr tallied her fourth goal of the season with 1:45 on the clock. In the second half,
Amber Maher also collected her fourth goal of the year, the team's second goal came in the 67th minute (66:25) for the two goal lead.
Ines Turner hit the back of the net in the 83rd minute (82:36) to push the score to 3-0, this was Turner's first goal of the season.
Ajla Brescic would make it 4-0 for the Roadrunners as time expired off a free kick, her second goal of the year.
Ramapo tallied 13 corner kicks in the game along with 29 shots on goal. Fighting Tigers goalie Samantha Rotundo recorded 24 saves in the game while
Gabby Matias and
Madison Miskovitz split time in the net for the Roadrunners. Miskovitz tallied two saves in the second half for Ramapo.
The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday, October 19th when they travel to Stockton University for a NJAC game at 12:00 PM.
