Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's swim team split a tri-meet today to open the 2024 season. The Roadrunners defeated John Jay, 103-18, while they fell to NJAC rival Kean University, 14-108.
The 200 medley relay team made up of
Isabella Hanson,
Grace Korey,
Sovy Taylor and
Cami Yovich placed third overall with a time of 2:00.29. In the 1,000 freestyle,
Alazne Sudupe grabbed a third place finish in 11:34.33 while Grace placed 4th in 11:55.72.
Valeria Pages placed third in the 200 freestyle in 2:09.53 and Tayler clocked in at 2:10.56 for a fourth place finish. Hanson finished third in the 100 backstroke (1:06.75) while Korey placed third in the 100 breaststroke in 1:12.42. Sudupe clocked in at 2:26.56 in the 200 fly for a 2nd place finish, while Pages clocked in at 59.86 in the 100 freestyle.
Mairin Huston posted a time of 2:27.21 in the 200 backstroke for a third place finish while Grace grabbed another third place finish, this time in the 200 breaststroke in 2:40.82.
Rachel Vazquez recorded a time of 6:03.58 in the 500 freestyle for a third place finish. The 200 freestyle relay team made up of Yovich, Sudupe, Huston and Pages finished third in 1:51.04.
Ramapo returns to action on Saturday, October 19th when they host Baruch College at 2pm.
