Hackettstown, NJ: The Centenary University women's volleyball team came back to defeat Ramapo College tonight in a five-set thriller, 3-2 (21-25, 25-23, 25-20, 18-25, 15-8). The Cyclones improved their overall record to 4-15 overall while the Roadrunner now stand at 2-12 overall.
Jenny Thistlethwaite led Centenary with 14 kills while she added five aces and 14 digs. Alea Herman posted nine kills, two aces and 14 digs while Cameron Fulcher led the way with six solo blocks along with six kills. Vanessa Pagano dished out a team high 24 assists while Asia Logan recorded 16 digs on defense for the Cyclones. The team recorded 31 total kills in the match on 167 attempts and 27 errors.
Amanda Fatouh led the way for the Roadrunners with a double-double of 13 kills and 12 digs while adding three aces and two assists.
Riley Stewart posted 16 kills, two solo blocks and eight digs.
Katie Bishop posted 32 assists in the match while adding three kills, two aces, one block and 11 digs.
Emma Garcia posted a match high 22 digs to lead the Roadrunners on defense while she added eight assists and one kill.
Kaitlyn Van Zile and
Krista Price each contributed with two solo blocks each. The team posted 46 kills on 182 attempts with 31 errors in the match.
Ramapo returns to action on Thursday, October 17th when they host Hunter College in non-conference action at the Bradley Center at 7pm.
