Chester, PA:  The Ramapo College women's swimming team competed at Widener University this afternoon in the final regular season meet of the season. Widener defeated the Roadrunners, 164-94, while Misericordia University also posted a 186-73 win over Ramapo.
 
Cami Yovich grabbed a second place finish in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:07.33. Alazne Sudupe finished second in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:25.13 while Meghan Cortez-Fields won the 50-yard freestyle in 25.84 seconds. Camila Mercado and Yovich went 2-3 in the 100-yard breaststroke as they posted times of 1:14.15 and 1:14.26 while Sudupe placed third in the 1,000-yard freestyle in 11:30.72. Mercado also posted a second place finish in the 200-yard breaststroke as she touched the wall in 2:47.21. Yovich added a third place finish in the 500-yard freestyle in 5:43.43 while Cortez-Fields added a second win in the meet in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:00.63. Cortez-Fields placed second in the 200-yard IM in 2:19.62 while Sudupe placed 4th in the same event in 2:26.36.
 
Ramapo will now look to the first-ever New Jersey Athletic Conference Swimming & Diving Championship Meet. The meet will kick-off on Thursday, Feb. 15th and run through Sunday, Feb. 18th in College Park, MD at the University of Maryland. Tickets to the NJAC Championships Meet need to be purchased in advance and can be found here.
