Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's basketball team earned a 78-46 win over Pratt Institute tonight at the Bradley Center. The Roadrunners moved to 12-6 overall while the Cannoneers now stand at 0-11 overall.
The Roadrunners pulled away early in the first quarter as they held a 44-20 lead at halftime.
Alison Ahern led the team with 17 points while
Lauren Flatt posted 16 and
Brianna Michel added ten including two-three pointers.
Daria Pontone posted a career high eight points while adding a season high 10 rebounds.
Shannon Burns also collected ten rebounds while adding six points and two blocked shots.
Karly Wittenbauer added eight points, eight rebounds, two blocks and five assists. Ramapo shot 43% (31-71) from the floor, 45% (5-11) from the three-point line and 73% (11-15) from the free throw line. Ramapo scored 28 points in the paint while 59 of the team's points came off the bench.
Kylie Grant led Pratt with 25 points and 13 rebounds while Olivia Julich added ten points, six rebounds and three blocked shots. Heather Song added seven rebounds of her own in the game. Pratt shot 30% (18-59) from the field, 18% (2-11) from the three-point line and 57% (8-14) from the free throw line. The team scored 26 points in the paint and ten second chance points.
Ramapo returns to action on Wednesday, Jan. 24th when they host Kean University in a key NJAC game at 5:30 PM.
