Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's swim team earned two wins today in their final home meet of the regular season. The Roadrunners defeated Baruch College, 59-27, and John Jay, 66-20. Ramapo improves to 3-5 overall.
Grace Korey won the 200-yard freestyle (2:07.66) and
Valeria Pages finished second in 2:13.07.
Meghan Cortez-Fields won the 50-yard freestyle (25.28) and the 100-yard butterfly (1:00.68).
Alazne Sudupe won the 400-yard IM with a time of 5:04.79 while Pages took home first place in the 100-yard freestyle as she clocked in at 58.21 seconds. Korey and
Cami Yovich finished 1-2 in the 500-yard freestyle with times of 5:38.34 and 5:49.34 while they also went 1-2 in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:13.16 and 1:13.34 respectively.
Fifi Amanuel placed 2nd in the 100-yard backstroke (1:11.40).
Ramapo honored their senior class prior to the meet, congratulations and good luck to
Keila Fane and
Meghan Cortez-Fields. The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday, Jan. 27th when they travel to Misericordia University for their final regular season meet of the season at 1:00 PM.
