Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College men's volleyball team opened the 2024 season with a 3-0 (25-22, 25-22, 25-23) win over Cairn University in non-conference action. The Roadrunners move to 1-0 while the Highlanders now stand at 0-2 on the year.
Amari Menter led the way with nine kills while he added four aces.
Reece Kirchofer posted seven kills and two assists while
Brendan Edwards tallied three kills, one ace and two blocks.
Anubis Roman led the way with four blocks while
JoJo Meyer posted a match-high 20 assists. Kirchofer and
Jon Zawada each added a team high nine digs while Meyer tallied five. Ramapo collected 27 kills in the match on 81 attempts and 20 errors.
The Highlanders were led by Joe Poirier with seven kills while Noah Ruiz Esparza and Sam Poirier added five. Josh Adler dished out 18 assists and two blocks and Kobe Cash and S. Poirier collected six digs on defense. The team recorded 19 kills in the match on 78 attempts and 21 errors.
Ramapo returns to action when they host Lehman College on Monday, January 29th at 5:00 PM in non-conference action at the Bradley Center.
