Mahwah, NJ:  The Skyline Conference announced the 2023 Men's Volleyball Preseason Coaches' Poll this afternoon. The Roadrunners are picked to finish 2nd in the league.
 
Ramapo posted a 20-12 overall record and 12-2 record in the Skyline last season where they earned the #2 seed in the Skyline Tournament. Ramapo defeated #3 New Jersey City in four sets in the semifinal before falling to #1 St. Joseph's Long Island in a tough five set match in the championship match.
 
Head coach Martiza Melendez welcomes back junior JoJo Meyer and senior Reece Kirchofer along with senior Brendan Edwards to the team. Meyer was named Skyline Second Team All-Conference last season where he collected his 1,000th career assist and his 1,000th single-season assist. He led the team with 1,090 assists last season and posted 54 kills, 35 blocks and was second on the team with 28 aces and 227 digs. Meyer is the 10th Roadrunner in program history to record 1,000 assists in a single season.  Kirchofer was second on the team in 2023 with 228 kills while he added 20 assists, 12 aces and 27 blocks. Edwards contributed with 53 kills, four aces and 12 blocks last season. Melendez, who enters her second season at the helm of the Roadrunners, also welcomes rookies Amari Menter, an outside hitter from Long Branch, NJ/Long Branch High School and Nick Lisi, an opposite from Cranston, RI/La Salle Academy. Coach Melendez will look to the returners and key newcomers to make an immediate impact on the court this season.
 
The Roadrunners open the 2024 season at home on Saturday, January 20th when they host Cairn University in a non-conference match at the Bradley Center at 7pm. For a full schedule for the 2024 season please click here.
