RAMAPO WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL PUSHES WIN STREAK TO 12-0

Mahwah, NJ:  The Ramapo College women's volleyball team remained undefeated and moved to 12-0 overall and 3-0 in the NJAC with a 3-1 (23-25, 25-14, 25-13, 25-20) victory over Rutgers-Camden University tonight at the Bradley Center. The Scarlet Raptors move to 7-7 overall and 1-2 in the conference.
 
After dropping a tough first set the Roadrunners came back to take the next three to continue their historic win streak. Ramapo remains one of only eight teams in NCAA Division III undefeated. For the second match this week, not one Ramapo player hit negative in the match as they combined to hit .230 overall with 54 kills on 135 attempts and 23 errors. Maliyah LaBrie led the team with 19 kills while she added two aces and five digs. Kalme Moncavo recorded 12 kills, eight digs and four aces and Desiree Cruz added 11 kills and five blocks including two solo blocks. Karolina Rodriguez posted nine kills on 19 attempts and just one error to hit .421 in the match. On defense, Krystal Santiago Oquendo recorded 13 digs while adding seven assists and Katie Bishop posted 11 digs and three aces. Cleopatra Diakou collected a team high 26 assists and Alexandra Sacchinelli added 12 assists and six digs. Riley Stewart led the team by hitting .500 in the match with three kills on four attempts and just one error while she added three blocks and three digs.
 
For the Scarlet Raptors, Erica Nebrich posted a team high nine kills and added two aces and four digs. Dyamond Free added five kills and five digs while JoAnna Andrews dished out a team high 13 assists. On defense, Bella Craig recorded a team high 12 digs while Mia Owens added 11 of her own. The team recorded 26 total kills on 119 attempts with 17 errors to hit .076 in the match.
 
Ramapo returns to action on October 10th at Stockton University for a NJAC match at 7pm.
