Montclair, NJ: The Ramapo College women's volleyball team pushed their match win streak to 11 games with a 3-0 (25-18, 25-19, 26-25) road win over Montclair State University. The Roadrunners improve to 11-0 overall and 2-0 in the NJAC while the Red Hawks now even their overall record to 8-8 overall and 0-2 in the conference.

Ramapo came back in the first and third sets to take the NJAC conference victory. In the first set, the Roadrunners saw themselves down 10-6 before they scored three straight points to come within one of tying the set at ten. Later in the set, Ramapo tied the game at 15 on a service ace from
Kalme Moncavo; which started a 9-0 run to push their lead to 23-15. For their final two points of the set,
Desiree Cruz and
Riley Stewart tallied back-to-back kills for the 25-18 win. The Red Hawks battled back in the third set and took a 21-18 lead before
Karolina Rodriguez put down a kill and a MSU ball handling error gave the Roadrunners two straight points, 20-21. Down two points once again, 22-20, Ramapo went on a three point run to retake the lead. Moncavo and
Maliyah LaBrie recorded back-to-back kills while Rodriguez put down an ace for a 23-22 lead. A MSU attack error gave Ramapo a 24-22 advantage while the Red Hawks recorded the next two points on a kill and Roadrunner attack error, 24-24. Cruz then put down a big kill to go up one before the Red Hawks were called for an attack error to give the Roadrunners the final point of the match, 26-24.

For Ramapo, Cruz and LaBrie led the way offensively with 11 and ten kills respectively. Cruz hit .364 in the match and tallied one block while LaBrie, the reigning NJAC Women's Volleyball Player of the Week, posted two blocks including a solo and 14 digs.
Kalme Moncavo posted a team high 15 digs while she was tied for the team lead in aces with three with Rodriguez. Rodriguez and Moncavo each recorded seven kills in the match while
Krystal Santiago Oquendo posted 12 digs, two assists and one kill.
Cleopatra Diakou dished out a team high 19 assists while Sacchinelli added 13 assists, four kills and seven digs in the match. The team hit .212 in the match with 45 kills on 137 attempts and 16 errors.

For the Red Hawks, Rachel Curran led the way with nine kills while adding six digs. Emily Carcich posted a team high 22 assists while Emma Hatcher collected a team high 15 digs on defense. Montclair State posted 24 kills on 132 attempts and 15 errors.

Ramapo returns to the Bradley Center on Thursday, September 28th as they host Rutgers-Camden University in a NJAC match at 7pm.
