Farmingdale, NY: The Ramapo College women's volleyball team pushed their win streak to 10 matches today with two non-conference victories. The Roadrunners defeated host Farmingdale State College, 3-1 (23-25, 25-15, 25-20, 25-6) in match one and earned a 3-1 (25-10, 16-25, 25-12, 25-11) win over Misericordia University in match two.
After dropping the first set of the day against the host Rams (3-5 overall), Ramapo came back in the next three sets to take the match and earn their record breaking ninth straight win. With the win the Roadrunners now have the best start in program history which was set in 2006 (8-0 overall).
Maliyah LaBrie led the way with 15 kills while
Desiree Cruz added nine kills, three blocks and four digs.
Kalme Moncavo recorded eight kills, a team high seven aces and nine digs while
Karolina Rodriguez posted six kills and three aces.
Cleopatra Diakou and Alex Sacchinelli split setting duties as Diakou recorded 16 assists and Sacchinelli added 15. The team posted 44 kills in the match on 100 attempts and just 18 errors to hit .260 overall.

For the Rams, Madeline Stanley posted nine kills to lead the team while Mikayla Profeta added eight kills, three total blocks and four digs. Sarah Rende dished out a team high 29 assists and Lana Ventura posted 15 digs on defense. The Rams tallied 32 kills on 104 attempts with 23 errors.

In their second match of the day against Misericordia University (9-6 overall) the Roadrunners pushed their match win streak to 10 with a 3-1 (25-10, 16-25, 25-12, 25-11) win. Moncavo and LaBrie each posted 11 kills while Moncavo tallied five aces and seven digs. LaBrie finished with eight digs and three total blocks and three aces. Sacchinelli posted 15 assists and five aces while adding seven digs and one kill. On defense,
Krystal Santiago Oquendo recorded ten digs on defense to lead the way. Diakou dished out 16 assists and added three digs. Ramapo tallied 38 kills on 105 attempts with 18 errors.

For the Cougars, Fiona Pyfer posted a team high 12 kills and added seven digs. Meghan Peters recorded eight kills and six digs while Jenna Schuda collected a team high 29 assists. On defense, Jessica Cleveland posted 11 digs to lead the way with Schuda also posted ten. The team tallied 35 kills on 109 attempts and 24 errors.

Ramapo returns to action on Tuesday, September 26th when they travel to Montclair State University for a NJAC match at 7:00 PM.
