Troy, NY: The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute women's soccer team defeated Ramapo College 6-2 in non-conference action this afternoon. RPI moved to 4-0-2 overall while the Roadrunners now stand at 2-4 overall.
Haley Cole put RPI on the board in the first half with a goal in the fifth minute of action (4:57) for a 1-0 lead before Ramapo tied the game just under ten minutes later.
Carla Goodwin scored her team leading sixth goal of the year to tie the game in the 15th minute (14:38). RPI would score five more unanswered goals by four different players in the first half to take a 6-1 lead into halftime.
In the second half,
Ashley Agrillo scored her second goal of the season as Goodwin posted her third assist of the year in the 55th minute (54:09) of play for a 6-2 score.
Makenna Tahbaz started the game in goal for the Roadrunners and recorded four saves and let up three goals as she faced ten shots in 30 minutes of action.
Madison Miskovitz played 24 minutes and let up three goals and faced eight shots, while she did not make a save.
Gabby Matias recorded four saves and faced seven shots in the final 45 minutes of action.
The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday, September 23rd when they travel to the College of New Jersey for the first NJAC game of the season. The game is slated to begin at 12pm.
