Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's soccer team earned a shutout victory in their first home game of the 2023 season over Neumann University, 4-0. The Roadrunners and Knights each move to 2-3 overall.
The two teams played to a 0-0 tie heading into the second half before Ramapo opened the scoring in the 57th minute.
Amber Maher tallied her first of two goals in the game to put the Roadrunners on the board, 1-0, and
Lara O'Toole earned the assist.
Carla Goodwin added the team's second goal off an assist from
Dina Ayoub in the 75th minute (74:25) before Maher tallied her second goal of the game for a 3-0 score. The goal was assisted by Ashely Agrillo in the 78th minute (77:44) before
Eleni Polizos recorded the final goal of the game (80:49), as Maher earned the assist, 4-0.
Ramapo posted 28 shots including 20 on goal in the game while the Knights tallied 13 shots and nine on goal. Ramapo also collected all three corner kicks in the game.
Madison Miskovitz collected four saves in the first half of the game in goal for the Roadrunners while
Gabby Matias posted five in the second half.
The Roadrunners return to action on the road at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute on Wednesday, September 20th for a 4:00pm non-conference game.
