New York, NY: The College of Mount Saint Vincent women's soccer team earned a hard fought 1-0 victory over Ramapo College this afternoon in non-conference action. The Dolphins move to 2-2 overall while the Roadrunners now stand at 1-3 on the year.

Makenna Tahbaz kept the Dolphins off the board in the first half. Tahbaz recorded six saves in the first half while CMSV recorded 12 shots.

The Dolphins scored the eventual game-winner in the 52nd minute (51:10) during the second half. Maddie Halford scored her first goal of the season off a pass from Caitlyn Thompson, 1-0. Ramapo and CMSV each recorded seven shots in the second half while two were on goal for both teams. The Roadrunners could not find the equalizer in the final minutes of action as the Dolphins came away with a non-conference victory, 1-0.

Tahbaz posted seven saves and surrendered one goal in just over 60 minutes of action in goal for the Roadrunners.
Gabby Matias posted one save in the final 29:31 of the game. For the Dolphins, Javiera Sanchez collected three saves in the shutout win.

Ramapo returns to action on Saturday, September 16th when they return to the Athletic Center to host Neumann University for a non-conference game at 3:00pm.
