Mahwah, NJ: Five members of the Ramapo College women's outdoor track & field team were named to the 2023 NJAC All-Conference Team, announced today by the league office.
Gbarper Dwah earned NJAC First Team All-Conference after being crowned NJAC Champion in the 100m dash with a school record time of 11.97 seconds. Dwah lowered her own school record she set on Saturday in the prelims while her time is currently 14th in the NCAA this season.
Rebecca Kneppel and
Suzanne Zaugg each earned NJAC Honorable Mention All-Conference in the 400m and 5k respectively. Kneppel broke the school record which was set in 2011 which was held by Sophia Davis (57.18) in 2011. Kneppel set the record in the prelims when she crossed the finish line in 57.14 seconds. In the finals on Sunday, she lowered the record once again with a time of 56.87 seconds finishing in third place overall. Zaugg posted a time of 19:10.77 in the 5k to finish third overall, matching her finish during the indoor championships.
The 4x100m relay team combined for a time of 47.14 seconds to finish third overall as they earned NJAC Honorable Mention All-Conference. The team was made up of
Barbara Exilus, Kneppel,
Meredith Yaskovic and Dwah. Their time is currently 14th in the NCAA this season.
At the conclusion of the regular season, the top 22 individuals in each event will qualify for the NCAA Championships while the top 16 relay teams will also qualify.
