Philadelphia, PA: Members of the Ramapo College track and field team competed at the historic Penn Relays tonight as senior
Cheickna Traore advanced to Saturday.
Traore finished in 6th overall in the 100m dash as he went up against a field of all NCAA Division I athletes. He crossed the finish line in 10.71 seconds and finished 3rd in heat one to advance to the finals on Saturday afternoon.
Ramapo competed in the Sprint Medley Championship of America relay as they combined for a 14th place finish and a time of 3:38.60. The team was made up of Traore (200m),
Kenyon Fenderson (200m),
Max Dubac (400m) and
Ryan Pena (800m).
Traore will return to action tomorrow afternoon in the 100m dash finals at 3:25pm. The full squad returns to action when they host the 2023 NJAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships at the Athletic Center on Saturday May 6th and Sunday May 7th.
