Glassboro, NJ: The Rowan University women's lacrosse team defeated Ramapo College this afternoon, 22-1. The Profs improve to 9-4 overall and 1-1 in the NJAC while the Roadrunners now stand at 4-8 overall and 0-3 in the conference.
Rowan poured in 12 goals in the first quarter while 11 different Profs scored in the game. The Profs added five goals in the second, two in the third and three in the fourth. They were led by Elaina Corson who collected four goals while Molly Green added three. Ramapo got on the board in the fourth quarter with a goal from
Colleen Mason, her 42nd goal of the season, while she was assisted by
Leah Whitney.
Alyssa Curto posted ten saves in the net for Ramapo this afternoon while Reilly Shaup posted one save in just over 38 minutes in the net to start the game for Rowan. Mel Rodgers did not need to make a save in the final 21:37 of the game.
Ramapo returns to action on Tuesday, April 18th when they host Montclair State University in a NJAC game at 4:00 PM.
