Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's lacrosse team earned their second win of the season in a 15-1 win over Old Westbury this afternoon. The Roadrunners move to 2-5 overall while the Panthers now stand at 1-1.
Kelly Griffin and
Colleen Mason each scored two goals in the first quarter while
Kaylie Gresek added another as the Roadrunners went into the second with a 5-0 lead. Mason scored her third goal of the game to start the second before
Leah Whitney tallied her first career goal for a 7-0 lead. The Panthers got on the board with a goal from Natalie Garcia, her first of the season before Griffin took a pass from Erin Smelius to close out the second, 8-1. Ramapo added seven goals in the final quarter of action. Mason added two for her team leading 27th of the year.
Brianna Curto took a pass from Mason to record her first career goal before
Esme Espinosa added two goals of her own.
Julianna McClain and Smeilus also added goals in the fourth.
Mason led the team with five goals while Gresek posted a team high three assists.
Alyssa Curto posted six saves in the net for the Roadrunners. Ramapo also honored their senior class prior to the game. Congratulations and good luck to
