Staten Island, NY:  The Ramapo College women's indoor track and field team competed at the Metropolitan Conference Championships this afternoon at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Center. The Roadrunners finished 11th overall in a field of 14 women's teams as they earned 15 team points.
 
Gbarper Dwah lowered her own school record in the 60-meter dash clocking in at 7.61 seconds. Her third place finish was in a field of NCAA Division I athletes. Dwah set another school record on the day as she placed fourth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.14 seconds. The 60-meter time is tied for #1 in NCAA Division III this season while the 200-meter time is currently #10 in the country. The times also qualified her to compete at the All-Atlantic Region Championships.
 
Zoey Cassavell placed 13th overall in the mile with a time of 5:29.18. Rebecca Kneppel finished 18th and Meredith Yaskovic placed 19th in the 60-meter dash with times of 8.05 seconds and 8.13 seconds respectively. Kneppel finished 13th in the 200-meter dash while Yaskovic was 14th overall with identical times of 26.09 seconds, both qualifying for the All-Atlantic Region Championships. The 4x400-meter relay team placed 5th overall with a combined time of 4:08.73. The team was made up of Yaskovic, Dina Ayoub, Barbara Exilus and Dwah. Jade Sampson finished in 19th place in the shot put with a mark of 10.02-meters.
 
The Roadrunners return to action on Friday February 10th and Saturday February 11th when they compete at one of two meets. The David Hemery Valentine Invitational is hosted by Boston University on Friday and Saturday while the Big Apple Invitational will be back at Ocean Breeze on Saturday.
