Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's outdoor track & field team hosted the Last Chance Twilight tonight at the Athletic Center. The Roadrunners won two events in the 800m race and the 4x100-meter relay.
The Roadrunners had three runners finish in the top 10 of the 800m race as
Zoey Cassavell posted a winning time of 2:23.38.
Rea Pagatpatan (8th) and
Abby Petrolia (9th) posted times of 2:38.59 and 2:40.08 respectively. The 4x100m relay team also posted a first-place finish with a combined time of 50.91 seconds. The team was made up of
Ashley Gordon,
Jianna Gorospe,
Mia Perez and
Bryanna Shepperson.
Individually, Gordon placed 2nd overall in the 100m dash finals with a time of 12.72 seconds. In the 400m dash,
Victoria Romanov and
Melissa Adelung posted times of 27.97 seconds (4th) and 30.0 seconds (9th) respectively. In the 1,500m race,
Jasmin Silva-Vargas led the team with a time of 5:18 to finish 5th overall while
Lydia Rojas was right behind her in 6th place (5:23.23) and
Kiera Gregory posted a 9th place finish in 5:35.62. In the 400m hurdles,
Barbara Exilus and
Lynell Thomas finished back-to-back with times of 1:09.17 (2nd) and 1:13.33 (3rd). The 4x400m relay team posted a third-place finish with a combined time of 4:39.86. The team was made up of Silva-Vargas, Rojas, Pagatpatan and Petrolia.
Select Roadrunners will compete at the Weidner Final Qualifier on Monday, May 12th while those who qualified for the AARTFC Championships will compete on Wednesday, May 14th and Thursday, May 15th. Â
