New York, NY: The Ramapo College women's indoor track & field team opened the season at the TCNJ Indoor Open this evening. The meet was hosted by the College of New Jersey at the New York Armory.
In the 60m dash unseeded event, Madison Parker-Anderson and
Lauren Daniels went 1-2 with times of 8.08 seconds and 8.33 seconds. In the 60m dash prelims,
Ashley Gordon qualified for the finals with a time of 8.05 seconds while
Jianna Gorospe clocked in with a personal best time of 8.45 seconds. In the finals, Gordon finished sixth overall as she lowered her time to 8.02 seconds.
Bryanna Shepperson's personal best time of 9.76 seconds in the 60m hurdles prelims puts her eighth all-time on the indoor list at Ramapo. Daniels put herself on the top 10 list in the 300m dash when she clocked in at 44.02 seconds, for ninth all-time. Shepperson added a new personal best and moved to fifth all-time on the indoor list in the high jump when she cleared 1.53m (5'.25"). In the long jump, Parker-Anderson placed fifth overall when she recorded a mark of 5.12m while
Christina Chambers recorded a mark of 8.89m in the shot put for a seventh place finish.
The Roadrunners return to action December 12th when they travel to Ocean Breeze for the Seahawk Shootout.
