MEYER RECORDS SEASON HIGH 44 ASSISTS IN WIN 3-2 WIN OVER KEAN

Mahwah, NJ:  The Ramapo College men's volleyball team won a thriller at the Bradley Center tonight in five sets over Kean University, 3-2 (25-12, 13-25, 25-23, 22-25, 15-9). The Roadrunners even their record to 6-6 overall while the Cougars now stand at 7-5 overall.
 
After dominating the first set, the Roadrunners dropped the next two before coming back to win the fourth set to force the winner-take-all fifth set. Ramapo hit .265 in the match with 55 total kills on 136 attempts and 19 errors. Andrew Finnegan posted a match high 20 kills on 42 attempts with just three errors to hit .405 in the match. Finnegan also posted 11 digs, one ace, one solo block and two assists. Reece Kirchofer tallied 13 kills and two blocks while Sean Nieves and Conor Charlow each collected eight kills in the match. Charlow added four digs and five total blocks while Jack DiGirolamo posted two solo blocks, three kills and three assisted blocks. JoJo Meyer dished out a season high 44 assists while recording ten digs, three assisted blocks and one kill. Simon Moeller led the team on defense with 14 digs.
 
Kean had three Cougars record double digit kills in the match. Chris Mitchell posted 16 kills and eight digs, Stephen Reynolds posted 11 kills and two digs while Jack Freese added ten kills and hit .412 in the match. Luke Frankenfield dished out a team high 27 assists while David Flores added 15 of his own. Chris Naranjo recorded 11 digs to lead the Cougars on defense. Kean hit .212 in the match with 59 total kills on 151 attempts and 27 errors.
 
The Roadrunners return to action on March 4th when they travel to Riverdale, NY to play in their first Skyline conference tri-match of the season. They will take on the College of Mount St. Vincent at 11am and St. Joseph's University Brooklyn at 1pm.
