Mahwah, NJ: The Susquehanna University women's swim team earned a 153-106 non-conference win over Ramapo College this afternoon. The River Hawks move to 1-1 overall while the Roadrunners now stand at 0-2 on the year.
The 200-yard medley relay team grabbed a first place finish with a time of 1:58.42. The team was made up of
Alazne Sudupe,
Grace Korey, Megan Cortez-Fields and
Cami Yovich. Sudupe and Yovich went 1-2 in the 1,000-yard freestyle with times of 11:31.60 and 11:40.19 respectively. In the 100-yard breaststroke,
Camila Mercado (1:12.90) and
Grace Korey (1:13.36) placed second and third while Cortez-Fields won the 200-yard butterfly in 2:27.12. Yovich won the 50-yard freestyle in 26.76 seconds while Korey finished second in the 200-yard breaststroke touching the wall in 2:37.43. Yovich also won the 500-yard freestyle (5:37.58) while Sudupe placed second in 5:40.42. Cortez-Fields grabbed another first place finish in the 100-yard butterfly with a winning time of 1:02.08.
The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday, November 11th when they host the College of New Jersey at 2pm.
