Wayne, NJ: The Ramapo College women's swim team defeated William Paterson University, 136-43. The Roadrunners move to 1-3 overall while the Pioneers now stand at 3-3-1 overall.
The Roadrunners won nine events in the dual meet enroute to their first win of the season. The 200-yard medley relay team grabbed a first place finish with a combined time of 1:58.40. The team was made up of
Alazne Sudupe,
Grace Korey,
Meghan Cortez-Fields and
Valeria Pages. Individually, Pages won the 200-yard freestyle in 2:10.23 more than 12 seconds faster than the second place finisher while
Cami Yovich and
Camila Mercado went 1-2 in the 50-yard freestyle with times of 26.88 seconds and 27.44 seconds. Cortez-Fields and Korey went 1-2 in the 100-yard IM in 1:04.57 and 1:06.83 respectively. Cortez-Fields also won the 100-yard butterfly in 1:02.51 while Sudupe was second in 1:05.45. Pages grabbed a first place finish in the 100-yard freestyle as she tapped the wall in 57.73 seconds while
Fifi Amanuel (6:15.70) and
Keila Fane (6:37.29) went 1-2 in the 500-yard freestyle. The Roadrunners swept the top three swaps in the 100-yard breaststroke as Mercado (1:12.70) finished first, Yovich (1:13.82) placed second and Korey (1:14.55) finished third. In the final event of the night, Ramapo took home a first place finish in the 200-yard freestyle relay in 2:03.78. The team was made up of Rachel Vasquez,

The Roadrunners return to action on Friday, November 17th when they travel to Misericordia University as they host the Cougar Splash through Saturday evening. Friday's session begins at 6:00 PM.
