Mahwah, NJ: The College of New Jersey women's swim team earned a 169-86 win over Ramapo College today at the Adele & Thomas Rueben Pool. The Lions move to 1-2 overall while the now stand at 0-3 on the year.
Alazne Sudupe won the 200-yard butterfly in 2:20.90 while Megan Cortez-Fields placed third in 2:26.64. In the 50-yard freestyle,
Valeria Pages and
Cami Yovich went 2-3 with times of 26.84 seconds and 26.90 seconds.
Grace Korey placed second overall in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:36.07 while Yovich placed second in the 500-yard freestyle when she touched the wall in 5:36.88. Cortez-Fields won the 100-yard butterfly with a winning time of 1:01.67 and placed second in the 200-yard IM in 2:20.92.
The 200-yard medley relay team made up of Sudupe, Yovich, Cortez-Fields and
Valeria Pages placed second with a combined time of 1:58 flat. Sudupe also took home a second place finish in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 11:28.22
Ramapo returns to action Tuesday, November 14th when they travel to William Paterson University for a meet that begins at 6:00 PM.
