Hackettstown, NJ: The Ramapo College women's volleyball team extended their win streak to eight straight matches with a 3-0 (25-19, 25-14, 25-15) non-conference win over Centenary University. The Roadrunners improve to 20-1 overall while the Cyclones now stand at 10-7 on the year.
Desiree Cruz led the way for Ramapo with 12 kills on 17 attempts and just one error to hit .647 in the match. She added three digs, three solo blocks and two assisted blocks. Maliya LaBrie added eight kills, two assists, two aces and five digs while
Karolina Rodriguez posted five kills and three digs.
Alexandra Sacchinelli (15) and
Cleopatra Diakou (12) split the setting duties while
Krystal Santiago Oquendo posted nine digs on defense. Ramapo hit .309 in the match with 36 kills on 81 attempts and 11 errors.
For the Cyclones, Poppy Skjonnemand and Jenny Thistlethwaite each tallied six kills in the match while Vanessa Pagano recorded a team high nine assists. Thistlethwaite also led the way on defense with six digs while adding one solo block. The team recorded 18 kills on 70 attempts with 15 errors to hit .043 in the match.
Ramapo returns to action on Tuesday, October 31st when they host Rutgers-Newark University for the final NJAC match of the season at 7:00pm.
