Glassboro, NJ: The Rowan University women's soccer team defeated Ramapo College tonight in NJAC action at Rowan Soccer & Lacrosse Complex, 7-0. The Profs remain undefeated with a 10-0-2 overall record and 5-0-1 in the NJAC while the Roadrunners now stand at 2-9-1 overall and 0-5-1 in the conference.
The Profs tacked on two quick goals in the first seven minutes of action for a 2-0 lead. Olivia Giordano (2:39) scored first to put Rowan on the board before Mackenzie Clement added the second goal in the seventh minute (6:42). Giordano and Clement teamed up for the team's third goal as Giordano scored her 12th goal of the season while Gabby Dean added the final goal of the first half (27:28), 4-0.
Clement would record a hat trick in the second half when she scored back-to-back goals (61:10 & 66:50) before Manon Bada (71:35) added the final goal of the game to push the score , 7-0. Rowan tallied 25 shots in the game including 16 on goal while they added six corner kicks. The Roadrunners recorded two shots in the game and posted one corner kick. Ramapo's
Gabby Matias secured nine stops in the net in the game. Calista Burke and Anna D'Intino split time in the net for the Profs while neither needed to make a save in the game.
The Roadrunners return to action on Wednesday, October 18th when they host Rutgers-Newark University in a NJAC game at the Athletic Center Turf Field at 7pm.
