Danbury, CT: The Ramapo College field hockey team won their fourth straight game this afternoon with a 2-0 blanking on the road at Western Connecticut State University. The Roadrunners now stand at 4-1 overall while WestConn move to 2-3 overall.
Ramapo got on the board with a goal in the second quarter as
Mariah Tovar put in her second goal (23:16) of the season off an assist from
Julianna Gentilucci.
Victoria Docherty put in her team leading sixth goal of the season in the third quarter (41:07) of a pass from Tovar to put Ramapo up, 2-0.
Michelle Kukan and the Ramapo defense held off WestConn to earn their third straight shutout while
Gabbi Gomez posted a goal line save in the game.
The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday, September 17th when they host #20 Vassar College in non-conference action at the Athletic Center at 1pm.
