PICHARDO EARNS 500TH OVERALL CAREER VOLLEYBALL COACHING VICTORY

Roadrunners split a pair of matches today at Bard College

Annandale, NY: The Ramapo College women's volleyball team split a pair of matches today on the road in their first tri-match of the season. The Roadrunners defeated host Bard, 3-1 (23-25, 25-21, 25-17, 25-13) while Worcester Polytechnic Institute defeated Ramapo, 3-1 (25-23, 25-18, 17-25, 25-13).
 
Head coach Rob Pichardo collected his 500th career coaching win in men's and women's volleyball combined while he recorded his 300th career win at Ramapo and his 400th career win on the women's side combined. Pichardo began his coaching career at City College of NY in 1999.
 
The Roadrunners were led by Caleigh Golabek in the win as she posted 11 kills, seven aces and two blocks. Stephanie Ross collected nine kills, one block and a team high 17 digs while Amanda Fatouh posted six kills and two aces. On defense Riley Stewart collected a team high seven blocks including six solo blocks. Emma Moran recorded 13 digs while Alexandra Sacchinelli dished out a team high 14 assists. Katie Bishop posted eight assists while Moran added six in the match.
 
Ryan Lum led Bard with ten kills and Adi David posted a team high 34 assists while Ella Small collected 22 digs on defense.
 
Against WPI, Ross collected a team high 11 kills while Golabek posted six kills, two aces and three blocks. Sacchinelli dished out 15 assists and 11 digs. Jenn Stolker led the team on defense with 14 digs while Moran added 13 of her own.
 
For WPI, the team had three players with double digit kills as Maddie Sanborn led the way with 13 kills while Emily Hudson collected 12 and Natalia Wierzbicki posted 11. Catherine Reynolds led the team with three aces, two blocks and 48 assists while Victoria Escuer posted a team high 22 digs while Reynolds added 16 of her own.
 
The Roadrunners return to action on Tuesday, September 13th when they host William Paterson University to open NJAC conference play at 7pm at the Bradley Center.
