Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's lacrosse team earned their first win of the season with a 19-3 victory over Centenary University. The Roadrunners move to 1-4 overall while the Cyclones stand at 0-1. Ramapo head coach
Nicole Barbella earned her first collegiate coaching victory this afternoon.
The Roadrunners posted ten goals in the first quarter, two goals in the second, four in the third and three in the fourth. The Cyclones posted two goals in the third and one in the fourth.
Colleen Mason put up three quick goals for Ramapo to start the game before
Kaylie Gresek added a goal, 4-0. Mason put in two more goals before
Emma Cowap,
Kelly Griffin,
Leah Durkin and
Esme Espinosa scored the final four goals of the first quarter. Griffith and Mason each posted two goals in the final five minutes of action in the second quarter for a 12-0 lead before Centenary got on the board with their first goal from Zaairah Lamothe.

Lauren Travaglini each scored a goal for Ramapo before Mason added two more on the day. The Cyclones added one goal in the third as they led 16-2 heading into the fourth. Lamothe added the team's final goal for the Cyclones before
Ella Shade put one in for Ramapo, 17-3.
Julianna McClain scored her first goal of the year off an assist from
Emma Cowap before Gresek added the team's final goal of the game, 19-3.
Alyssa Curto posted three saves in the win for the Roadrunners while Mason led the team with 8 goals scored and three assists for 11 points in the game.
Ramapo returns to action on Friday, March 25th when they travel to Maritime College for a non-conference game at 6pm.
