Selinsgrove, PA: The Susquehanna University women's swim team defeated Ramapo College today in non-conference action, 176-71. The River Hawks open the dual meet season at 1-0 overall while the Roadrunners stand at 1-4 on the year.
Alazne Sudupe won the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 11:32.50; she also picked up a first place finish in the 500-yard freestyle when she clocked in at 5:40.72, more than 12 seconds over the second place finisher.
Alexa Pappas won the 100-yard freestyle in 57.94 seconds while she placed second in the 50-yard freestyle in 26.30 seconds.
Valeria Pages placed third in the 50-yard freestyle in 26.34 seconds while
Kaitlin Balasaygun placed third in the 100-yard backstroke in 1:12.75.
Camila Mercado grabbed a second place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:15.26. Valeria placed second in the 100-yard butterfly in 1:03.66 while Sudupe finished second in the 200-yard IM in 2:21.93.
The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday, November 12th when they host John Jay College in a 2pm non-conference match.
