Mahwah, NJ: The Ramapo College women's swim team defeated John Jay College today in non-conference action, 139-44. The Roadrunners move to 2-4 overall while the Bloodhounds are 0-4 overall on the season.
The 200-yard medley relay team made up of
Kaitlin Balasaygun,
Camila Mercado,
Valeria Pages and
Alexa Pappas posted a winning time of 2:02.57. In the 500-yard freestyle,
Fifi Amanuel (6:28.13),
Katie Riva (6:43.18) and
Keila Fane (6:50.34) finished 1-2-3 respectively. Pages and
Alazne Sudupe went 1-2 in the 200-yard freestyle with times of 2:04.78 and 2:09.08. Pappas won the 50-yard freestyle in 25.91 seconds while Sudupe won the 200-yard IM in 2:27.85. Pages also won the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:03.66 and Pappas took home another first place finish in the 100-yard freestyle in 56.06 seconds. Amanuel won the 100-yard backstroke in 1:06.81 while Balasaygun was second in 1:13.52.
Camila Mercado posted a time of 1:15.06 to place first in the 100-yard breaststroke while the 200-yard freestyle relay team posted a winning time of 2:05.42. The team was made up of Amanuel, Fane,
Julia Caramagna and Riva.
The Roadrunners return to action on Friday November 18th when they head to Kean University for the Cougar Invitational for a two-day meet. Friday's meet starts at 5:30pm.
