Mahwah, NJ: The #2 Ramapo College men's soccer team and #3 Rowan University played to a 1-1 double overtime draw in the NJAC Men's Soccer Semifinal, which sent the game into penalty kicks. The Profs came out on top, 3-1, and advanced to the NJAC Championship game on Friday, November 4th. The Roadrunners now stand at 6-6-4 overall while the Profs move to 10-5-5 on the year.
 
Jonny Troiano scored early for the Profs in just the second minute (1:35) of action off a pass from Alex Ferrara to get on the board, 1-0. Ramapo had some great chances late in the second half that sailed wide before the Roadrunners were awarded a free kick in the 87th minute of play. Osbin Mendez took the free kick and Damian Zurawski put home his team leading seventh goal of the season off a header to tie the game, 1-1. The game would go into overtime where the two teams would play two ten minute periods where each had solid chances to score; a header by the Roadrunners was just over the crossbar while a header from the Profs was saved by Ramapo keeper Nikolai Matthews.  
 
For the Roadrunners, Juan Uribe hit the back of the net on his penalty kick. For Rowan, Ryan Cleary, Mason Martelloni and Luke Yates all made their penalty kicks to advance, 3-1.
 
For the game, Rowan posted 16 shots with six on goal and the Roadrunners tallied 13 shots and six on goal; while each team recorded six corner kicks. Both Matthews and Prof keeper Dylan Aportela each collected five saves in the game. Rowan advances to play in the NJAC Championship Game on Friday, November 4th at the highest remaining seed.
