Mahwah, NJ: The Stockton University women's volleyball team improved to 9-6 overall and 3-1 in the New Jersey Athletic Conference with a 3-0 (25-10, 25-18, 25-12) win over Ramapo College tonight at the Bradley Center. The Roadrunners move to 5-5 overall and 1-3 in the conference.
Haley Green led the Ospreys tonight with 14 kills while she added five aces. Kate Louer posted eight kills and Camille De La Torre recorded five in the three-set match. Teleyah Witherspoon posted a team high three blocks and Aubrey Rentzel dished out a team high 21 assists. Molly Eng posted 21 digs on defense to lead the Ospreys as the team hit a combined .388 in the match. Stockton posted 44 kills on 85 attempts with just 11 errors.
For Ramapo,
Stephanie Ross and
Riley Stewart each posted three kills while
Caleigh Golabek led the way with two blocks.
Alexandra Sacchinelli dished out seven assists while
Katie Bishop posted six.
Emma Moran recorded seven digs on defense while Ross posted five and Sacchinelli tallied four. The team collected 14 total kills in the match on 76 attempts and 14 errors.
The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday, October 8th when they host Sarah Lawrence College and Moravian College in a non-conference tri-match. The Roadrunners will take on Sarah Lawrence at 10am while the Gryphons and Moravian go head-to-head at 12pm. Ramapo will then play Moravian at 2pm.
