Mahwah, NJ: The Hunter College women's volleyball team posted a 3-0 (25-13, 25-16, 25-19) non-conference victory over Ramapo College at the Bradley Center. The Hawks improve to 17-8 overall while the Roadrunners now stand at 10-9 on the season.
Mariapas Lojano recorded eight kills for Hunter while Tionna Moss posted seven and Mariam Ouattara contributed with six. Ouattara also led the team with three aces and two blocks while Bethany Tomaneng dished out a team high 25 assists while Kiara Abreu added ten. Nadia Lau posted 13 digs on defense and Erin Dugan added seven. Hunter hit .319 in the match with 43 kills on 94 attempts and 13 errors.
For the Roadrunners,
Caleigh Golabek led the way with ten kills and three blocks.
Stephanie Ross posted eight kills and a team high nine digs while
Alexandra Sacchinelli posted a team high 11 assists while
Katie Bishop posted six. On defense
Jenna Stolker recorded six digs and Sacchinelli added five in the match. Ramapo posted 24 kills on 92 attempts with 19 errors.
The Roadrunners will return to action on Tuesday, November 1st when they travel to Kean University in the first round of the NJAC Women's Volleyball Tournament. The match is set for 7pm.
