WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL EARNS TWO NON-CONFERENCE WINS

Mahwah, NJ:  The Ramapo College women's volleyball team swept a pair of matches today at the Bradley Center in non-conference action. The Roadrunners (9-8 overall) defeated St. Joseph's College-Long Island, 3-1 (25-23, 25-14, 16-25, 25-14), before they came back to defeat Wilkes University, 3-2 (17-25, 26-24, 20-25, 25-21, 15-7).
 
Match One
For the Roadrunners, Stephanie Ross posted 13 kills and 21 digs, both team highs for the match while Caleigh Golabek collected ten kills and a team high in aces (4) and block (4). Amanda Fatouh posted eight kills of her own while Alexandra Sacchinelli dished out a team high 23 assists while Katie Bishop tallied 15. Emma Moran recorded four assists and nine digs while Jenna Stolker posted seven digs for the team on defense. Riley Stewart and Emily Shea each collected two blocks each. The team recorded 44 kills in the match.
 
For the Golden Eagles (11-10 overall), Jackie Wolf led the way with 13 kills while she also posted a team high seven aces. Madison Gremli collected nine kills while Kar Barrera Carreno dished out a team high 21 assists. Kellianne Dempsey posted a team high 13 digs while Gremli and Wolf each added seven. SJCLI posted 36 kills as a team in the match.
 
Match Two
The Roadrunners came back in their second match of the day over Wilkes (7-18 overall) forcing five sets, winning the final two to earn the victory. Ross (12), Fatouh (11) and Golabek (10) all collected double digit kills in the match. Golabek posted five blocks while Ross and Stewart each posted two blocks. Sacchinelli and Bishop each dished out 18 assists while Moran posted four assists and a team high 19 digs on defense. Ross collected 16 digs while Stolker posted 13. Ramapo tallied 49 kills in the match.
 
Wilkes had three Colonels post double-digit kills in the match as Nicole Fitzpatrick led the way with 13 while she also recorded a team high five aces. Alexis Reedy recorded 12 kills while Sierra Hines tallied 11 kills and three blocks. Hope Ousey tallied a team high four blocks and Ali Yordy posted 20 digs on defense while Alexa Cassel led the way with 39 assists. The Colonels recorded 51 kills in the match.
 
The Roadrunners return to action on Tuesday, October 25th when they travel to Rutgers-Newark University for a NJAC match at 7pm.
