Union, NJ: The Kean University women's volleyball team earned a 3-0 (25-11, 25-22, 25-11) NJAC victory over Ramapo College. The Cougars improve to 14-8 overall and 6-1 in the NJAC while the Roadrunners now stand at 7-8 overall and 2-5 in the conference.
Kean hit .348 in the match with 43 kills on 89 attempts with just 12 errors. Two Cougars posted double digit kills as Anne Beckemeyer led the team with 13 and Ashley Smith posted ten. Taylor Micheaux tallied nine kills and six digs while Aubre Adams led the way with three blocks. Kylie Brua dished out a match-high 27 assists while Sian Seeger led the Cougars on defense with 11 digs.
The Roadrunners were led by
Caleigh Golabek who recorded seven kills and two blocks while
Stephanie Ross posted six digs and three kills.
Alexandra Sacchinelli dished out ten assists while
Katie Bishop posted five in the match.
Emma Moran also collected six digs for Ramapo in the match while
Amanda Fatouh posted five. The Roadrunners collected 18 kills in the match.
Ramapo will return to action in their final tri-match of the season at the Bradley Center on Saturday, October 22nd when they host St. Joseph's College – Long Island (11am) and Wilkes University (1pm). The Roadrunners will honor their 2022 senior class in a pre-match ceremony.
