Union, NJ: The Kean University women's soccer team earned a 2-1 win tonight over Ramapo College in NJAC action. The Cougars move to 4-5-4 overall, 1-2-2 in the NJAC while the Roadrunners now stand at 4-6 overall and 1-4 in the conference.
The Roadrunners got on the board in the first half (27:07) when
Carla Goodwin posted her team leading eighth goal of the season as Lauren Vladkya and
Sam Ingannamorte. Just over seven minutes later, Sonay Brewster scored her first of two goals in the game with assists from Delaney McGlade and Celine Brady to tie the game, 1-1. In the second half, Brewster would put the Cougars up 2-1 with her fifth goal of the season in the 69th minute (68:56).
For the game, Kean posted 24 shots and 11 on goal while Ramapo tallied 15 shots and six on goal. Each team collected four corner kicks.
Emma Conlan posted nine saves in goal for Ramapo in the game while Julia Masucci tallied five saves in the net for Kean.
The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday, October 16th when they host Rowan University in a NJAC game at 1pm.
