Mahwah, NJ: The Rowan University women's soccer team remained undefeated with a 5-0 road win over Ramapo College today at the Athletic Center grass field. The Profs move to 10-0-2 overall and 6-0 in the NJAC while the Roadrunners now stand at 4-7 overall and 1-5 in the conference.
Nina Carlson posted her 7th and 8th goals of the season in today's game while she got the Profs on the board in the 13th minute off an assist from Olivia Giordano. Giordano scored an unassisted goal in the 21st minute before Carlson added her second goal in the 26th minute for a 3-0 score. Simone Pacetti put in Rowan's final goal of the first half in the final minute of play unassisted to extend the lead, 4-0. Frances DiColandrea posted her first goal of the year in the second half (88th minute) off an assist from Emily Casale for the 5-0 lead.
Rowan posted 19 shots on goal to Ramapo's five while the Profs earned five corner kicks to Ramapo's one.
Emma Conlan started the game for the Roadrunners and came out late in the second half (40:07) before she made six saves.
Makenna Tahbaz posted eight saves for the team in the final 49:53 of the game. Calista Burke recorded five saves for the Profs in the road victory.
Ramapo returns to action on October 19th when they travel to Rutgers-Newark University for a NJAC match-up at 7:30pm.
