GOLABEK LEADS RAMAPO IN KEY NJAC WIN AT NJCU, 3-1

Jersey City, NJ: The Ramapo College women's volleyball team earned a key NJAC road win over New Jersey City University tonight, 3-1 (25-23, 15-25, 25-23, 25-19). The Roadrunners move to 7-6 overall and 2-3 in the conference while the Gothic Knights now stand at 11-9 overall and 2-4 in the NJAC.
 
Ramapo hit .252 in the match with 49 total kills on 135 attempts and just 15 errors. Caleigh Golabek led the way for the Roadrunners with 14 kills as she hit .480 in the match while also posting one ace, two assists and two digs. Stephanie Ross collected 12 kills, three aces, and one block while posting a team high 11 digs on defense. Riley Stewart contributed with nine kills and hit .533 in the match, two blocks and one dig while Amanda Fatouh posted six kills and three digs. Alexandra Sacchinelli dished out a team high 19 assists while Katie Bishop posted 17 as they split the setting duties. Sacchinelli also posted two aces and seven digs while Bishop added six digs. Jenna Stolker and Emma Moran contributed with six and four digs on defense respectively in the match.
 
For NJCU, Brenda Gonzalez led the team with 14 kills while adding two blocks and three digs. Rachael Pharo hit .435 in the match with 13 kills, three aces and a team high 15 digs. Paola Toledo collected 11 kills, four aces and eight digs while Sydney Lore dished out a match-high 44 assists. On defense, Katrina Nguyendon posted 14 digs while adding two aces.
 
Ramapo returns to action tomorrow night at the Bradley Center when they host NJAC rival Rowan University at 7pm.
