Chester, PA: The Widener University women's swim team defeated Ramapo College this afternoon, 130-52 in non-conference action. The Pride improve to 10-2 overall while the Roadrunners now stand at 2-5 overall.
Carissa Campbell won the 200-yard IM when she touched the wall in 2:24.68. In the 1,000-yard freestyle, Campbell placed second overall with a time of 11:19.56 while in the 200-yard freestyle,
Camila Mercado posted a time of 2:13.47 for a second place finish.
Alexa Pappas posted a time of 26.37 seconds in the 50-yard freestyle and a time of 58.67 seconds in the 100-yard freestyle as she took home a second place finish in both events. Mercado finished second in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:14.18 while the 200-yard freestyle relay team grabbed a first place finish. The team was made up of Pappas, Campbell, Mercado and
Kaitlin Balasaygun as they clocked in at 1:50.37.
The Roadrunners return to action on Saturday, February 5th when they host Susquehanna University in a non-conference meet at 2pm.
